John
and Jen Torbert have been involved with horses for over 30 years. As
a child, Jen grew up taking english riding lessons and bought her
first horse at age 12. She went on to compete in local shows with
both of her horses until she left for college. Jen continues to ride
today for pleasure. She still takes english and western riding
lessons on her horse, Chewy. John grew up on farms with horses his
entire life. He rode western for fun, but his passion is agriculture.
John has been farming for most of his life and continues to farm
today. He grows hay and runs a small home grown produce stand with
his son John Jr. John and Jen opened their first boarding business in
the 80’s starting with only six stalls. It was very successful,
however, they decided to take a break from the horses to pursue other
career paths. They opened Cambria Stables in 2001 and involved their
daughter Erin. They expanded to offer training, lessons, and summer
camp.

for clients and sale. Erin has been running Cambria Stables’s
riding program for over seven years. Her students successfully
